RATES & BOOKING INFO

Call or email for a complete rate sheet.  Please leave some contact info and tell me a bit about your music, your band (if applicable) and what you would like to get done.

I offer one rate for working at my studio, and another for freelance work at other studios.  Call or email to get an estimate and clear details about booking & payment.  For engineering at other studios, I have a flat rate per day.  To book a weekend, try to plan a month or two ahead.  Weekdays are usually available sooner.

Accepted payment is cash or plastic (Visa or Mastercard).  Personal check if we've done business before.

MEDIA PRICES  (tax included)

Analog tape rental:  $25/day.

My deck is custom calibrated for GP9, and I have a bunch of lightly used rental reels in house, so that's what you'll use.  We'll track basics to tape, transfer to digital, and those digital files will be your session masters.  If you're dead set on staying all analog and keeping the tape, good luck finding the tape, or I'll sell you one of my reels for an exorbitant price.  I spent a lot of time experimenting, getting my deck to sound as good as it does with GP9, and I'm not going to recalibrate it for another brand of tape you want to buy.  Sorry.  I'm a real meanie.

Hard Drive Space, Data Storage & Backup:  Hard drive space & safety backups to a 2nd drive are provided during the course of your sessions at no charge.  If backups to CD or DVD are performed during your session time, there is no additional charge.  Backup of session data to disc media that is done outside of your session time is billed a flat fee of $10 per CD-R, or $25 per DVD-R.  For projects that end up on the computer, you can also bring in your own portable hard drive for backup at no charge.  All digital tracks will be prepared and delivered as continuous "consolidated" or "silence-filled" audio files, which can be imported to any DAW without any alignment problems at any later time.

Cassette Tape:  $299.95
