Call or email for a complete rate sheet. Please leave some contact info and tell me a bit about your music, your band (if applicable) and what you would like to get done.
I offer very good block rates and my hourly rate for shorter sessions is quite reasonable too. Call or email to get the most current rates offered & clear details about booking & payment. For engineering at other studios, I have a flat rate per day. To book a weekend, try to plan a month or so ahead. Weekdays are usually available sooner.
Accepted payment is cash or plastic (Visa or Mastercard).
MEDIA PRICES (tax included)
Analog tape rental: $25/day.
(approx 30 min of recording time per reel @ 15ips.)
** So it looks like tape is back on the market, and what I've seen is (surprise!) a bit more expensive than what we've been used to. I still have plenty of low-use rental stock available for tracking sessions, but if you want to buy & keep your own reel(s), I'd recommend buying directly from Protape NW when they have it in stock. You want to get 1" Quantegy GP 9.
Hard Drive Space, Storage & Backup: Hard drive space & safety backups to a 2nd drive are provided during the course of your sessions at no charge. If backups to CD or DVD are performed during your session, there is no extra charge other than for the necessary media. Backup of session data to disc media that is done outside of your session time is billed a flat fee of $10 per CD-R, or $25 per DVD-R, plus the cost of the media. For projects that end up on the computer, you can also bring in your own firewire hard drive for backup at no charge. All digital tracks will be prepared and delivered as continuous "consolidated" or "silence-filled" audio files, which can be imported to any DAW without any alignment problems.
CD-R w/ sleeve or case: $2/ea.
DVD-R w/ case: $5/ea. (For computer session backup or RADAR file export.)
DAT: $15
Cassette Tape: $299.95
You can bring your own cheapie CD-R's for reference and rough mixes as we work. For masters and data backup, I prefer to use what I keep in stock. If you wanna go buy your own and save a couple bucks, I'll recommend the brands to get.
Thanks for looking...
